Today’s topic is working with real estate agents. If you cultivate a good relationship with one or two agents, it can really give your business a boost.
There are different types of real estate agents, and some specialize in working with investors. You can meet them at REIA meetings or through referrals from closing attorneys, title companies and such.
Agents work on commission. When you talk to them, be sure they hear how beneficial it can be for them to help you find properties.
Agents can find properties quickly, so be ready. Don’t waste their time finding a property that you aren’t prepared to close on. And don’t depend on agent to do more than find properties. Vet your own deals.
Do not be afraid of using agents. Yes, there are costs, but an agent can help you grow your property portfolio as well as anything can.
